Fault Isolation / Product Validation Engineer

Silverbrook is looking for a Fault Isolation / Product Validation Engineer to assist in the development of new fault isolation and product validation tools, techniques and methods to determine and quantify product health via determination of failure root-cause.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for isolating product failures at every level of product maturity.
- Support failure analysis and implementation of product corrective actions to reduce or eliminate the failures.
- Perform circuit test and fault isolation; such as die and flex circuit tracing.
- Identify and perform fail signature analysis.
- Develop print quality and test readout interpretation.
- Perform gross area failure mapping and commonality studies.
- Perform reconstructive micro-surgery of interconnects.
- Develop FA/FI and product validation tools, techniques and methods to systematically isolate failures.
- Develop, write and modify test vectors or programs.
- Develop new test and screening methods.
- Enhance physical and electrical detection methods.
Experience and skill
- Knowledgeable and/or experienced in semiconductor fault-isolation tools, methods and techniques.
- Knowledgeable and/or experienced in semiconductor product test and validation methods. Must be hands-on.
- Knowledgeable and/or experienced in semiconductor fabrication and packaging technologies, semiconductor product functionality, product failure modes and product failure mechanisms.
- Experienced in systematic complex problem solving using proper documentation and methodology.
- Good communication (both written and verbal) skills.
- Good Interpersonal skills with abilities to work in a team.
