Program Manager

The Program Manager’s role is mainly to deploy products developed by Silverbrook Research into high volume production at outsource manufacturing sites in Asia.
Main Activities/Tasks
- Develop strategies for the deployment of Memjet products into high volume manufacturing, including setting up relationships with appropriate contract manufacturing companies.
- Work with Supply Chain team to select and qualify material / service providers for production of Memjet products.
- Work with Factory Implementation teams to procure appropriate production lines/equipment for Memjet products.
- Develop an appropriate support strategy for products to be supported in production.
- Drive the delivery of appropriate manufacturing documentation to support the above goals.
- Identify key resource requirements to support overall programme.
- Work with Project Management Department to create and maintain high level schedules showing key project milestones.
- Work with Quality Management department etc. to ensure appropriate business processes in place to allow complete purchase order fulfilment and customer support.
- Manage the overall production transfer to contract manufacturing partners, including supervision of equipment / production line installation & qualification .
- Develop and maintain programme budgets, and drive programme team to achieve relevant cost targets.
- Identify programme issues that may affect the milestones and drive appropriate corrective actions.
- Ensuring management is kept updated with programme progress.
- Appropriate documentation/presentations related to the above activities, to both internal and external audiences.
Experience & Skill
Key skills
- Previous experience of the processes involved in the deployment of a technically challenging product from development into high volume manufacturing.
- Experience dealing with multiple teams from production line procurement, supply chain and manufacturing operations in different countries.
- Ability to work closely with a group of technical teams specialising in different aspects of technology.
- Ability to work in a mixed product development and manufacturing environment.
The Program Manager must possess excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work in a team environment and to work with external customers and vendors.
Education
Essential:
- At least 5 years programme management experience at a similar level
- Manufacturing rollout of products
Desirable:
- Experience in inkjet printing industry
- Establishment of supply chain systems
