Manufacturing Process Operator
(QA Chip Operations)

Main Focus
The Process Operator manufactures completed ASIC (and related) parts for use in printhead assemblies made at North Ryde as well as for use within assemblies made by our manufacturing partners.

Main Activities/Tasks

  • QA Chip manufacturing:
      · Undertake part testing on in-house test system.
      · Undertake pre-defined parts bake to weed out early life failures.
      · Undertake program load onto part on in-house programming system.
      · Assist in work planning for this function.
      · Assist in ordering manufacturing supplies and consumables as
      required for the correct operation of the test system.
      · Incoming parts inspection (when required).
  • Parts Accountability, main tasks include:
      · Log parts available at the start of
      a production run into the appropriate run log.
      · Log parts tested each day into the appropriate run log.
      · Enter manufacturing issues as they arise into a fault log.
      · Writing brief reports of results as required.

Skills - Essential
It is likely that operation of the machines used in this functional area will eventually be required on a 2 or 3 shift basis. It is essential that operators are willing to work on a shift basis as required.

  • Good housekeeping skills; the area where this work
    is performed must be meticulously maintained.
  • Keen and strong attention to details to meet high quality standards.
  • With strong sense of urgency and ability to work autonomously.
  • Ability to read, follow and write detailed work instruction.
  • Ability to learn tasks quickly to deliver and meet key result areas.
  • With good manual dexterity and ability to handle very small components.
  • Familiarity with MS Office software.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Has finished at least 2 years of university studies.
We are looking at hiring Process Operators with at least 2 years extensive working experience in semiconductor environment. Definitely an advantage if he/she has finished at least 2 yrs of university studies, preferably in Electronic Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent relevant experience high volume.
